BIFM Level 2 Qualifications
BIFM level 2 qualifications in facilities services develop learners’ ability to select and use relevant knowledge, ideas, skills and procedures to complete well-defined tasks and address straightforward problems. It includes taking responsibility for completing tasks and procedures and exercising autonomy and judgement subject to overall direction or guidance.
Who are they for?
The level 2 qualifications are for school leavers and younger individuals who are new to the facilities management profession, or who have identified facilities management as a career of choice and wish to have a qualification to aid them in starting their career. Individuals who wish to consider a career switch to facilities management may also benefit from this entry-level certificate.
How are the qualifications assessed?
The competency qualification is assessed against clear learning outcomes setting out the knowledge and skills needed by managers at different levels.
Assessment tasks are practical and work based, reflecting live business projects and activities – a real benefit to both individual learners and their organisations. The knowledge qualification is assessed by multiple‑choice
question style examination papers, which are delivered online.
How are the qualifications delivered?
You can choose the centre at which you study, which means you will have a choice of different delivery styles, including face‑to‑face, evening class,distance learning and online learning.
Choose the units
For the competency qualification, there are two mandatory units that you have to complete. After this, you can make up your remaining credits by choosing from the available units. The knowledge qualification has four mandatory units and no optional units.
