BIFM Annual General Meeting
BIFM’s Annual General Meeting is usually held in June each year. The AGM provides members with the opportunity to engage with the Board and exercise their vote to contribute to the future direction of the Institute. All those that hold the grade of Member, Certified Member, Fellow or Honorary Fellow are eligible to vote on the resolutions contained in the specific AGM papers.
All members are given Formal Notice of the AGM at least 21 days prior to the date of the AGM. All relevant AGM Papers and guidance notes are uploaded onto the Governance area of the BIFM website to help members in their voting decisions. These include the following documents.

Proxy Form (for voting members) on-line

This paper is for the election for the membership’s Individual representative on Members’ Council and includes details of the nominees.
Members’ Council
The role and purpose of the Members’ Council is to influence the future direction of the Institute and it’s mission by giving advice and guidance to the Board.
This Members’ Council represents the stakeholders of the Institute and includes two representatives directly elected by the membership and two elected by corporate members. Members can exercise their influence on the Institute through these elections or by involvement in the regions, special interest and sector forum groups whose chairs sit on Members’ Council.
Call for Nominations
There is an annual ballot for two places, one from the individual membership and one from the corporate and organisation membership and the call for nominations is made between 65-48 days prior to the AGM
Results of the Call for Nominations will be announced at the AGM.
