Examination Route
The BIFM Examinations
The examinations are split into Part I and II.
Part I consists of 3 modules. It is suitable for those in the early stages of an FM career or for those who wish to consolidate their knowledge. It aims to test the candidate’s awareness and knowledge of these elements within the BIFM Part I Examination syllabus.
Part II consists of 4 modules which explore the same areas of the BIFM syllabus as Part I but in greater depth and from a more strategic perspective. (Part II Examination syllabus)
This Part is suitable for those who have passed the Part I exams or those who can demonstrate sufficient FM experience to achieve Member Grade membership of the BIFM therefore gaining automatic exemption from Part I.
BIFM Examination accreditation
The Open University has accredited the BIFM Part I and II Exam syllabus. Completion of Part I is awarded 40 points at Level 1
Completion of Part II is awarded 60 points at Level 2
