Accreditation Policy

The BIFM has a policy of accrediting undergraduate and postgraduate facilities management courses against its higher education route to the BIFM Qualification. Graduates from accredited courses are exempt from the knowledge component of the BIFM Qualification and can progress directly to the completion of the Self Assessment Handbook and the preparation of the competence portfolio.

New applications for accreditation are welcomed from courses which have at least one cohort of graduates. Courses are accredited against the criteria of the BIFM competences. These can be viewed in the competences section of the website.  If you are interested in submitting your course for accreditation by BIFM, please contact the Professional Standards & Education Co-ordinator, on 0845 058 1355 or pseco-ordinator@bifm.org.uk
