ILM level 3 qualifications
The ILM level 3 qualifications in facilities management were devised by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) in conjunction with BIFM and have been especially designed to help learners develop specific skills in facilities management, alongside a wide range of leadership and management skills.
The qualifications have been accredited on to the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF), and meet the market demand for an industry standard in facilities management.
As these are vocational qualifications, the focus is on work-based assessments rather than examinations and on developing key FM skills that are immediately transferable to the workplace.
Who are they for?
The ILM level 3 qualifications in facilities management are for those who are new to FM and have less than two years’ experience in an FM role, or first-line managers seeking an FM qualification.

How are the qualifications assessed?
ILM qualifications are assessed against clear learning outcomes setting out the knowledge and skills needed by managers at different levels.
Assessment tasks are practical and work based, reflecting live business projects and activities – a real benefit to both individual learners and their organisations.
How are the qualifications delivered?
You can choose the centre at which you study, which means you will have a choice of different delivery styles, including: face-to-face, evening class, distance learning and online learning.
