Professional Standards

The Professional Standards and Education (PS&E) department is responsible for developing and maintaining the benchmark national standards of the BIFM competences.  These help define and shape the Institute’s qualifications and training programme.  They also underpin membership criteria.

 

The PS&E department has worked with Asset Skills, the Sector Skills Council for Property, Housing, Cleaning and Facilities Management to develop National Occupational Standards for facilities management at level 3.
