BIFM Award for Best Practice Of FM in a PPP PROJECT (Building, Infrastructure of Service for the Public Sector)
As many worthy PPP projects have now been established and operating for some time, we are seeking to recognise facilities management involvement demonstrated through excellence and best practice.
PPP is not just about finance, our judges are looking for evidence that design excellence in flexibility and longevity of infrastructure, services and construction together with innovative use of energy and resources has set new standards of best practice.
Service delivery standards must be high and substantiated by a robust performance measuring regime and physical evidence gathered through a site visit. Application are invited from consortiums, facilities management organisation and clients.
Applicants must state what area(s) of the project they believe are examples of best practice
Details of how the principals of best practice have been incorporated and commentary on how these were delivered and measured. Explain the relevance of this to PPP. Describe fully what service(s) are offered as an example(s) of best practice.
Description of the FM services carried out in the properties as part of the PPP project, and how the facilities meet the user needs.
Details of the professional team (internal and external) used for the delivery of the project.
There must have been a project post-completion period of at least 6 months in order to allow our judges to fairly evaluate the success of the project.
Entries will be evaluated against the following issues:
- Project organisation and brief
- User facilities
- Building health and safety
- Internal environment
- Flexibility of space
- Maintenance strategy
- Design or service innovation
- Clarity of Best Practice rationale
