Award & Judging Criteria:

This award is given for outstanding personal performance and career development in one individual.  What we are looking for is innovative use of FM methodology applied to solving major issues, integration of the individual into an organisation’s decision making process and senior corporate structure and pursuance of FM recognition through academic progress.

 

Entrants must be able to demonstrate reaching a key milestone in their career during the last two years (April 2004 – April 2006).  The candidates should be supported by their employer (if relevant) for this award as we will want to be able gather opinion and fact relating to both the individual and their achievements from various sources.

 

Explain your current role and put into context the scale and challenges in your organisation and how you interact with the business that you support.

 

Please talk through your career to date and include the most significant projects, tasks and learning experiences. Discuss with us how you now use the things you have learnt in your career to improve your own and your team’s performance.

 

Tell us about your personal goals and ambitions in FM and share your career development plan for the next three years.

 

Finally, tell us how you think you can make a contribution to our profession.

 

1. Detailed Curriculum Vitae for the entrant, with full educational history and detailed job descriptions (including organ gram) for each role.

 

2. Précis of current role, with where the entrant fits into their company’s organisation including details of number of direct reports and overall departmental/FM staff numbers.

 

3. Include a paper from the entrant of between 2000 – 2500 words summarising their career achievements and how they believe they have contributed to the development of FM as an occupation and its recognition as a ‘profession’.

 

4. Details of any professional or academic bodies which the entrant belongs to as well as details of any published articles, best practice papers, etc which the entrant has written.
