Overall FM Industry Impact Award
This award recognises a leading individual who has contributed to the shaping of the FM industry and had the most significant and positive impact on the industry as a whole.
The criteria considers the evidence of excellence and commitment to the development of the reputation of FM together with achievements over time on the sector.
The winner this year (Valerie Everitt) has worked for BIFM for nearly 15 years, and has been responsible for the high standard of education programmes across the Institute including career advice and CPD. She has supported the volunteer structure of BIFM, and been fundamental to instruction of the new QCF qualifications. She was the architect of obtaining Qualification Curriculum Authority for BIFM as an Awarding body. In addition, she has been a founder member of the Asset Skills FM Board, a member of the BIFM Executive since 2004 and a BIFM Board Member and Director. She has carried out her formal duties with professional diligence and ensured diversity at the highest level within the Institute.
Valerie Everitt is a real advocate for professionalism within the FM industry.
