Like many of us in our industry, Sarah found herself working in FM by chance. She joined BNY Mellon in 2006, and since then has delivered a short yet impressive track record in both BNY Mellon and the industry. In early 2010, Sarah became a BNY Mellon Vice President as “Portfolio Manager UK North” with a growing remit of 3 regional offices – two in Manchester and one in Leeds (which has just been internally voted the best BNY Mellon EMEA work location in a recent employee survey).
Sarah is passionate and uncompromising in her drive for exceptional standards and an outstanding level of customer service. With a strong people focus, Sarah is intrinsically motivated by the variety and pressure of FM. She believes passionately in the value of FM team support behind the scenes. Her leadership style represents this, her team appreciate and understand the standards she expects, and work together with a collective pride of service delivery. These high standards are underpinned with a focus on learning, development and up-skilling throughout the team, as she seeks to qualify and empower individuals wherever possible.
Sarah is an active member of BIFM’s North East branch, and works hard at supporting, attending, and delivering a number of events in and around the Leeds region. Sarah has effectively combined an extremely demanding day job, with her support for BIFM and she will continue to support a drive towards more active member involvement.
