BIFM Volunteer Recognition Awards

The annual BIFM Volunteer Recognition Awards recognise and celebrate the
achievements of BIFM's professional volunteers who support the FM community and help shape the Institute and the profession.

The 2017 Volunteer Recognition Awards winners are:

  • Special Interest Group of the Year: International Special Interest Group
  • Regional committee of the Year: BIFM North Region
  • BIFM South Region (Highly Commended)
    Volunteer of the Year: William Bowen MBIFM

The Awards were presented at the BIFM Annual General Meeting at BT auditorium, London.

Following the presentation of the Volunteer Recognition Awards Stephen Roots, Chairman of BIFM said:

"BIFM’s Volunteer Recognition Awards provide the Institute with the opportunity to reflect on the incredible impact our volunteers have on furthering the work of the industry and FM professionals alongside BIFM. These Awards also provide an important opportunity to praise our volunteers who give so much of their own time to support, develop and promote the FM profession."

“BIFM volunteers provide an extensive range of services to the Institute and our membership such as: CPD, networking and social events, FM industry knowledge and commitment of their time, expertise and advocacy to benefit others working across the industry.”

BIFM’s Volunteer Recognition Awards provide the Institute with the opportunity to reflect on the vital impact that volunteers have on furthering the work of the industry and FM professionals alongside BIFM. These Awards also provide an important opportunity to celebrate the volunteers that give so much of their own time to support, develop and promote the FM profession.
