BIFM Annual Conference 2009

The BIFM’s Annual Conference 2009 took place at at Keble College, Oxford 31st March to 1st April 2009.  Returning to theme of sustainability, the Conference essentially tackled how sustainable fm can be embedded in organisations.

Speakers included Justin Rowlatt, BBC Correspondent and “Ethical Man” and what it really means to “go green” and James Woudhuysen on Why “Sustainababble” will outlive the crash of 2008.  A lively debate, chaired by BBC presenter, Stephen Sackur, provoked a myriad of views and opinions from the panel of four where the central focus for debate was how the FM industry can support a global economic recovery and drive towards a greener future.

 

Offering a wide learning experience, the popular Gala Dinner and lots of opportunities to network, BIFM welcomed some 300 delegates to Oxford.
