| Details | London First and BIFM invite you to attend this early evening event to discuss sustainable buildings, kindly hosted by international law firm Eversheds LLP in their brand new environmentally friendly offices in Wood Street, in the heart of the City. The building is one of the most sustainable workplaces in the UK. Amongst its many features are a green roof, energy efficient chilled beam air conditioning system, and intelligent lighting designed to help reduce the carbon footprint further. Achieving significant reductions in carbon emissions is a major challenge for the capital and a critical success factor for London is to develop and embrace technologies which will result in achieving significant reduction in carbon footprint from commercial properties. This event will look at commercial buildings to explore current and future carbon mitigating technologies. We have four speakers for this event with an opportunity for questions. We will hear from John Flowers, Property and Facilities Director, Eversheds LLP, who was responsible for realising their new office project, and the technologies adopted for reducing emissions. We will hear John Boon and Robert Diamond, from architects Ingleton Wood who discuss Environment Management Systems and the latest Environmental technology. Professor Antony Day from London Southbank University will introduce their CEREB institute (Centre for Efficient and Renewable Energy in Buildings) and its view of future emission saving technologies. There will be the opportunity for a limited tour of the new offices and a chance to network over drinks and canapés AGENDA 6.00 – Tea and Coffee 6.15 – John Flowers, Property and Facilities Director, Eversheds LLP 6.35 – John Boon and Robert Diamond, Ingleton Wood Architects 6.55 – Professor Antony Day, London Southbank University 7.15 – Questions & Answers 7.25 – Tour, Drinks and Refreshments REGISTER NOW Kindly hosted by: Eversheds LLP, 1 Wood Street, London, EC2V 7WS As places are limited, please RSVP as soon as you can, along with any special requirements, by Friday 9 September 2008 to lfevents@london-first.co.uk.
