Our “AGM and Members Day” on 25th June promises to be an interesting, lively and stimulating day, celebrating success and encouraging networking. The venue is London House, Goodenough College, London, WC1 –a unique, atmospheric 1930s College, with a community of some 640 postgraduates from over 80 countries. A location map and directions are attached.

Commencing at 9.30am, members can enjoy a full packed day including; high profile case study presentations, a Certificate presentation, the AGM, the brand new BIFM Recognition Awards and ample opportunity to socialise and network over lunch and evening drinks. An agenda for the day is attached below.

A key focus of the day are 4 lively, engaging case study presentations by last year's BIFM Gala Award Winner and the finalists for the popular category "Impact on Organisation and Workplace", recognised by BIFM members as being of particullar relevance to the work they do.

Case studies will be presented by EC Harris, winners of the category for their stunning HQ and runners up; Siemens, Schroders and MBDA who submitted diverse, challenging projects encompassing new building occupation and the re-fit of existing premises. Each company will talk about their projects, what they did (how they did it!) and the challenges along the way. Company and case study biogs are attached below.

On the day, Members can choose to hear about the case study project that interests them most, from two in the morning and afternoon respectively (on a first come, first served basis) and can learn first hand, the approaches and tactics adopted by the project team.

Eash session will be professionally chaired allowing interactive participation and engagement and a summary of all 4 case study presentations will take place later in the afternoon so members can enjoy the enlightening contrasts and comparisons.

BIFM are also delighted to welcome Tricia Stanley from Sodexo and winner of FM of the Year 2008 presenting a "Life in the day of!" after lunch.

The AGM takes place at 5pm where eligible members can exercise their voting rights and contribute to the future success and direction of the Institute. Click here for more details.

The celebratory theme continues with a Certificate presentation event to all candidates who have passed Part 1 and Part 11 BIFM exams and the BIFM Qualification, where our Chairman will be personally congratulating each individual's success.

Next on the Agenda is the BIFM Recognition Awards Ceremony, sponsored by BIFM Training which will see yet more congratulations! Aimed at BIFM Regions, Sector Forums and Special Interest Groups, the six award categories recognise those who have contributed immensely to the development and success of the Institute around the UK and the winners will be announced at the Ceremony and all members are welcome to attend.Click here for full details.

After a photocall with BIFM’s Chairman and CEO and award winners, the day rounds off with a closing drinks reception.

We look forward to seeing you there.
