Presentation 1 – CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme
A speaker from Construction and Management Consultancy Davis Langdon plc’s Sustainability Consultancy Team will deliver a presentation on the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme.
The presentation will cover the following elements:
• What is the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme (formerly the Carbon Reduction Commitment)?
• Does it affect you?
• How does the scheme work?
• What do you have to do?
• How do you assess your position?
• What next?
Presentation 2 – Crime Prevention in the Built Environment
Adrian Murphy will be joining us from Design for Security. Design for Security is a design-led crime prevention consultancy based within Greater Manchester Police. The practice is accredited by the National Police Improvement Agency (NPIA), and specialises in design-led crime prevention in the built environment.
With a background in planning, surveying, and design Adrian will offer an insight in to the fundamental crime and security issues faced for both new and existing property design and ergonomics. The presentation will also address the following:

• Minimising future opportunities for offenders.
• Understanding the competing considerations and trade-offs involved in design decision-making.
• Balanced and intelligence-led solutions that relate to a development’s context.
• Innovation and creative thinking.
