Knowledge Committee
Welcome to the BIFM Knowledge Committee, which is the principal committee concerned with knowledge and communities of interest. Knowledge is the ‘parent committee’ for the institute’s Special Interest Groups and Sector Forums.
The Knowledge Committee is involved in a range of projects aimed at building and strengthening the Institute’s position as an acknowledged source of FM innovation & knowledge.
Our aim is to become the recognised ‘gatekeeper’ for filtering FM wisdom and knowledge and sharing good examples of innovation across the sector by:
- Signposting sources of FM innovation and knowledge obtained from high quality research by others
- Developing a knowledge system for disseminating information to the BIFM members, including through the web portal
- Developing arrangements for identifying, evaluating and communicating outputs from research & innovation
- Developing a set of knowledge products such as ‘expert position statements’, case studies, good practice guides, and demonstration projects
