Members Council
The Members’ Council consists of 36 Institute Members. The make up of the Members’ Council is as follows:
Two corporate members elected by corporate members
Two members through direct elections from the whole of Institute membership.
Ten regional representatives (one from each BIFM defined region).
Five positions elected by Members’ Council (chairs)
- One National Chairman
- One Immediate Past National Chairman
- Two Deputy Chairman
- One immediate Past Deputy Chairman
Four positions appointed by Board (chairs of main committees)
- Professional Standards & Education
- Knowledge
- Membership Services
- Audit & Governance
Three employee Board Members:
CEO, Company Secretary and Membership Services Manager
A representative from each of the BIFM defined Special Interest Groups
A representative from each of the BIFM defined Sector Forums.
Purpose of the Members’ Council
The role and purpose of the Members’ Council is to give advice and guidance to the Board.
