North Region

BIFM Region North aims to expand its presence within the BIFM and will take a more prominent role in the region by pro-actively acting as the conduit between members and the BIFM.

 

Region North has the desire to increase its image and reputation by hosting regular quality events appropriate to the needs of the membership and by organising the third Northern Regional BIFM Ball in 2008.

 

In its role as ambassador of the BIFM and the FM profession the region will take a more proactive role, manifested in an increase in networking activities within the Institute, the profession and with link-minded organisations.

 

There remains a great focus on representing its membership and ensuring that they gain best benefit from their membership of BIFM.

 

The Region wishes to consolidate on its relationship with the universities within its area, and consider creating improved networks with other training providers.

 

The Region plans to broaden its sponsorship and event hosting base in order to build upon it successes within the region.

 

The East and West Sub-committees aim to improve their communication and co-operation and utilise the strengths of all committee members. It is envisaged that this will result in tangible benefits such as jointly hosted events.
