Details The National Blood Service is an integral and vital part of the NHS. Our two million volunteer donors contribute 1.6 million units of blood every year which helps to save lives every day. We supply blood and blood products to each of the 385 hospitals in England from one of our 14 Blood Centres.

The National Blood Service is looking for someone with an engineering and facilities management background to help
manage day-to-day services delivery at NBS properties across the country. This is an opportunity to take life-changing responsibility into your own hands.

Reporting to the Area Facilities Manager, you’ll help motivate and develop our teams, ensuring that practice and
services are kept up to national standard in local sites. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be involved in a wide range of areas, including engineering maintenance, fire safety, minor projects, general facilities support and budget allocation.

We’re looking for people with a proven record in full facilities management. You’re as comfortable contributing to
business continuity plans as carrying out presentations, with the initiative to resolve a variety of situations. A qualification in facilities management, building services, mechanical/electrical engineering (or equivalent) is essential, as is a full driving licence. Add to that your experience of managing people and budgets, and we’d like to hear from you.
