| Details | With the ambition to be the leading customer focused personal financial services organisation in the east of England, the Norwich & Peterborough Building Society is continuing to go through an exciting period of growth and development. Alongside strong financial performance and with an expanding portfolio in excess of 60 properties, further substantial investment in the Head Office and branch estate is planned. THE POSITION • Lead strategic and operational development of the facilities management function to meet current and future business objectives. This role encompasses UK portfolio management, H&S compliance, PPM and environmental practices. • To take responsibility for all major projects, including capital works and refurbishments. • To lead and develop the Facilities team, building upon existing strengths and capabilities to ensure the provision of a proactive and customer-oriented delivery. • To provide guidance and support to senior management ensuring full engagement and participation in commercial and business initiatives. THE INDIVIDUAL • Strong facilities background within a similar corporate environment with good understanding of portfolio management. • Broad knowledge of a diverse range of projects, ideally from a building surveying background. • Positive leadership skills with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels. • Commercial approach with integrity and passion, together with excellent presentation and relationship building skills.
