PiI FM projects
The BIFM has a major contribution to make to FM practice by signposting sources of FM innovation and knowledge obtained from high quality research by others.
The Knowledge Committee’s aim is to become the recognised ‘gatekeeper’ for filtering FM wisdom/knowledge and encouraging the sharing of good examples of innovation across the FM sector.
We are keen to exploit examples of innovation in FM to support the development of expert position statements, knowledge papers, case studies, good practice guides and demonstration projects, and communicate opportunities to exploit the benefits to the FM sector as a whole.
As part of its programme of improving the availability of information and knowledge to BIFM members and FM practitioners, The Knowledge Committee has recently undertaken a strategic exercise to evaluate the outputs of the DTI Partners in Innovation Scheme.
Initially we are only evaluating the top 10 FM projects. However, we have made available the entire list of FM related projects and star rated them.
NB. A number of the projects have a ? against them. This is because their applicability to FM needs to be subject to further examination (some relate to housing etc). Also text ’Not DLC’ indicates a project not managed by Davis Langdon Consultancy.
Contact
Adrian Jackson Robbins of Davis Langdon Consultancy (+44 (0)20 7061 7836) is available if you require any further information on any of the projects listed on the BIFM website (text ’Not DLC’ indicates a project not managed by Davis Langdon Consultancy).
A feature of the spreadsheets is that the project titles are hyperlinked to the DTI PiI compendium synopses.
