Why choose Facilities Management?

Facilities management is an industry that provides the opportunity for an exciting, reliable and lucrative career choice. The armed forces was shown to be the third largest former professional background  of facilities management professionals in  the 2012 FM World Salary Survey (the British Institute of Facilities Management’s magazine) with 10% of the sample having come from that background, proving that facilities management is fast becoming an obvious path for current servicemen and service leavers.
The 2012 salary survey showed variation across the different facets of FM. Below are the average salary brackets by function:
> Integrated FM Firms (£46,000 – £60,000)
> Consultancy (FM/Property)  (£36,000 – £45,000)
> Hard FM (£46,000 – £ 60,000)
> Soft FM (£26,000 – £35,000)
