If you hold Affiliate or Associate grade and the following qualifications and/or experience, you could apply for Member grade.

If you progress to BIFM Member grade, you can demonstrate your continuing achievements in the FM industry, help to ensure your increasing skills and knowledge are recognised and further add to your professional credibility. You can vote at the AGM and influence the direction of the Institute.

You can also use ‘MBIFM’ after your name on business cards, emails, websites and other business collateral.

You can also apply to Upgrade to Member grade of you select one of the following routes:
BIFM  - Part I
Experience route
Other relevant qualification route

If you apply to upgrade via the qualifications route, all we require is:

• Your job description
• A copy of your most recent CV
• Your original qualification certificate or a copy signed by the awarding body
• Your upgrade application
• A contact referee

If you apply to upgrade via the experience route, all we require is:

• Your job description
• A copy of your most recent CV
• A declaration and profile document
• Your upgrade application

The assessment fee for this upgrade is £70.00
