Support your FMs to improve your business

The BIFM Group Membership Scheme is designed to support the development and progression of your FM team members. Ultimately the scheme is about business improvement through employee development.

Membership of BIFM offers your FMs the support to:

Learn

BIFM provides a range of resources and updates on industry news, information and policy which are available to members, including:
  • Fortnightly FM World magazine, including features, case studies, industry news and developments.
  • Good Practice Guides.
  • Access to reports and white papers from the Members Only section of the website.
  • E-newsletters: BIFM News, FM World Daily, Workplace Law, Building Services and Policy and Politics Update.

Develop

BIFM offers members a range of free activities and resources to support their CPD, through information and knowledge resources and regional and special interest group (SIG) events. Members can record and monitor their CPD activities through their own online CPD record.

In addition, BIFM provides training and qualifications which can form part of individuals’ professional development.

Network

BIFM has a thriving network of Regions and SIGs which are led by passionate member volunteers and offer employees the chance to network with FM professionals from the same region, similar backgrounds, specialisms or interests. In addition to face-to-face networking are the online networking forums, which provide instant access to fellow FMs and industry leaders to network and share best practice with.

Get professional recognition

Members benefit from getting a recognised professional status and the use of post nominal letters, dependent on grade, to distinguish and represent their level of expertise and experience in the field of FM. Professional recognition increases the standing of the individual within the company and of the company to the wider industry demonstrating the level of professional competence of your workforce.
