The service-profit chain - FM applications
26-04-06 0:0 BIFM
On Tuesday 16 May the BIFM is supporting 'The Service Profit Chain - FM Applications' workshop being held at GlaxoSmithKline in Uxbridge. Part of the IPD Turning Point programme, this event will introduce you to the principles of the 'service-profit chain' and how this approach can be embedded in FM.
Paul Carder, director of Turning Point Programme, believes that there are two ways for the FM industry to go:
• Continue to focus on cost reduction, eating into service quality, reducing customer satisfaction and suppliers’ profit; or
• Research and implementation of real value-add to occupiers’ businesses - improving service quality and satisfaction, leading to customer loyalty, and greater supplier profit
The Turning Point Programme promotes the second way, by working with leading occupiers and suppliers of management services.
The day features customer and supplier case studies as well as group work and discussion. Speakers include Peter McLennan, Ian Fielder and Paul Carder. To find out more about this workshop please click on the link below:
