End of professional competence route

The professional competence route to achieve the British Institute of Facilities Management’s Qualification (BIFM Qual) is being discontinued. The other two routes, through examination or higher education, will remain. Those currently registered for the qualification via the professional competence route will, of course, be able to continue the programme.
This decision forms part of BIFM’s education strategy and was ratified by the BIFM Board on the 11th December 2008.
Further announcements on the development of BIFM’s professional education will follow in the New Year.
