Introducing Pebble...
22-05-09 16:15 BIFM
After the BIFM Annual Conference on 31st March and 1st April, the BIFM asked you for suggestions to name a puppy for the Chairman's Charity, Dogs for the Disabled - as long as it began with the letter 'P'.
Suggestions came flooding in, with suggestions ranging from Pepsi to Primrose to Pudding, but the chosen name was Pebble!
Pebble (pictured) is now a three month old black labrador puppy, and she has already begun light training to become an 'assistance dog' to help children and adults lead a fuller, more independent life.
Dogs for the Disabled is a charity based in Banbury, Oxfordshire and was chosen as one of the Chairman's Charities by current chairman, Iain Murray.
Iain said: "I recognise that animal charities struggle to match human charities in levels of donations, and I wanted to address this. As the owner of a rescued Greyhound I hold animal charities in high regard, and I picked Dogs for the Disabled as it represented a good mix of both."
Please visit the Dogs for the Disabled website if you wish to donate.
