BIFM Training has made a successful debut venture in
Organised alongside IIR's major Cityscape Exhibition and Conference, a specially adapted version of the Foundation Course was very well received by delegates - to the extent that an additional parallel session had to be arranged to accommodate demand.
FM is developing strongly in the region, tracking the completion of major new developments in a range of sectors - from commercial offices to retail, healthcare, education and infrastructure. This is fuelling a demand for skills and expertise in all aspects of FM operations. Despite a marked slow-down in development activity in Dubai over the last year as a result of the economic crisis, the scale of construction remains massive by European standards – with a range of highly ambitious schemes under consideration for the future.
Effective FM clearly has a vital role to play in helping to maintain the quality of facilities, as well as the longer term value of expensive assets - as many landlords and developers are now realising.
