The fourth annual Asset Management Conference: High Performance - From People and Property will take place next Wednesday 25th November at the QEII Conference Centre, Westminster, London.

More than 350 delegates including policy makers, strategic implementers and budget holders from across the public sector will be present at the event, to discuss the major developments taking place within the asset management arena. The conference will cover how effective management and assessment practices can create a sustainable and efficient public sector estate to achieve significant savings.

Speakers will include vice admiral Tim Laurence, who is head of the government’s Property Asset Management Profession and chief executive of Defence Estates; Mike Burt, the director of Government Estate Transformation, Office of Government Commerce; and William Jordan, chief sustainability and operating officer, Office of Government Commerce.

Discussion will cover areas such as government plans to implement the recommendations of the Operational Efficiency Programme; the High Performing Property Strategy and current relocation targets for 2010; and new technologies which assist the public sector achieve efficiencies leading to cashable savings.

Key topics will also include the update of initial SOGE targets for 2010; the Importance of sustainability across the public sector and the link between this and VFM; and best practice case studies in asset management.
