Joint BIFM South & London Region CPD Event Report: Innovative Technology in FM - Save time, money and improve customer relations
28-02-17 15:7 BIFM
The amazing North Tower lounge within Londonís famous landmark Tower Bridge was the venue of a joint event held by the BIFM South and London Regions.
Corporate member Crimson Tide hosted the event and informed the members on how one of their clients employs mobile technology, mpro5, to keep two major UK retailers clean, safe and happy.
The FM world is having to constantly change to simply keep up with the demands of the client and by using smart phones and devices, companies are saving time and money.
This co-hosted BIFM and mpro5 half day seminar gave members the opportunity to see how streamlining the way we manage our staff, contractors and customers through hand held technology helps keeps everyone up to date.
The three speakers from mpro5 demonstrated how mobile technology helps the out of office worker where to be, what to do & what to bring; how simple data transfer through the mobile phone can let the office and client know when each job is complete; and demonstrated how SLAís and KPIs can be transferred to the customers in real time.
After a buffet lunch, members enjoyed the spectacular views from the top of the bridge as they left to go about their day to day business.
Ian Fielder, chair of South Region and host for the event, thanked Dan Teare, UK Sales Manager at Crimson Tide and his team for an interesting talk on mobile technology and how it can improve customer service and relationships. All details of the presentation can be found on the BIFM South and London Region webpages in the document section.
Ian also thanked the regional sponsors from both regions. Money was raised for charity and will be split between South Region's charity, Help for Heroes and the BIFM chairís preferred charities.
The next BIFM South event is a joint event with the London Region on 29 March and is a visit and tour of the Boeing office in Crawley.
London Region's next event is on 15 March and is their annual conference to be held at the Wellcome Trust, Gibbs Building.
