The British Institute of Facilities Management’s Risk & Business Continuity Management SIG (special interest group) is to publish a series of informative Quick Start Guides, covering a broad range of risk and resilience areas of relevance to FM professionals.
The guides are intended to complement the existing Good Practice Guides and Guidance Notes already produced by BIFM, furthering the suite of knowledge available to FM professionals, and ensuring that BIFM remains the development partner of choice.
The first Quick Start Guide, on Asbestos Surveying will be published in September 2017, with quarterly availability thereafter. Each guide will offer a short overview of key facts and directions to further specialist information across a range of risk and business continuity themes.
Commenting on the new Quick Start Guides, Peter Brogan, BIFM Research and Information Manager said; “Our Risk and Business SIG identified the value that these Quick Start Guides will add to the FM industry. We regard this as a key opportunity to share knowledge and expertise in relation to areas of risk and business continuity management and we believe our Quick Start Guides will become a well-regarded resource for FM professionals.”
BIFM is calling for suggestions for Quick Start Guide subject areas which BIFM members would find useful. BIFM is eager to ensure thorough circulation of practical advice and guidance as it seeks to further the FM industry, so please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your suggestions.
