FM Excellence

BIFM has signed Partners in FM Excellence Agreements with five parties:

IFMA (International Facility Management Association),
FMA (Facility Management Association of Australia),
IPFMA (Irish Property and Facility Management Association) and
CIBSE (Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers)
HVCA (The Heating and Ventilating Contractors’ Association).

Partners in FM Excellence agreements were developed in order to promote international collaboration. Members of all organisations enjoy the benefits at no extra cost and receive a common discount for events, training, and publications.

The individual organisations will remain separate but will collaborate on services, standards, research, knowledge exchange and other activities.

Partners in FM Excellence now links over 30,000 FM members worldwide in the five organisations and more organisations are in talks with BIFM to become Partners in FM Excellence.

The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) is the professional association for FM, representing the largest community of facility management professionals in the industry.

The objective of the Irish Property and Facility Management Association is to develop and maintain the highest levels and professional conduct in all areas of property and facilities management.

CIBSE (The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers) is an international body which represents and provides services to the building services profession. It is dedicated to the development of better buildings through education, research, communication and influencing government regulations and legislation

HVCA (The Heating and Ventilation Contractors’ Association) adds value to its members’ businesses by providing quality services, promoting excellence and shaping the commercial environment through representation and leadership. The HVCA represents the interests of firms active in the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration (hvacr) products and equipment.
