The Good Practice Guide To Selecting FM Software

This document aims to provide useful information guidance about critical issues involved in selecting and implementing a software solution for facilities management. It highlights the key considerations that must be addressed in advance of vendor selection and looks briefly at some of the technology innovations and resulting trends that may influence your decision-making process.

Procuring and Running Cleaning Contracts

The objective of this guide is to explain what constitutes good practice in the procurement, delivery and management of cleaning services within the full range of non-domestic buildings. It also describes how to select an appropriate cleaning-service provider, as this should be considered a critical success factor. The target audience for this guide is all those people involved in managing the delivery of cleaning services, including building occupiers and facilities managers responsible for specifying and managing cleaning services, as well as those external contractors delivering the cleaning services. This guide addresses the key considerations for good practice in all types of buildings – recognising the requirements of varying environments; for example, of.ces, retail, hospitals and education.

Inclusive Access And The DDA

The object of this guide is to explain why facilities management services need to be inclusive and how to achieve this. It is aimed anyone with responsibilities for buildings or delivery of services via a building – and covers design, management, and maintenance. It shows how to include the needs of the whole population when choosing products, developing management regimes, receiving visitors, and preparing evacuation strategies.

FM Procurement

The object of this guide is to show how to obtain best value in the procurement of FM services in a professional and compliant manner. This should achieve efficient, economic and effective procurement of FM services, cost savings and standardised procurement processes that support economic growth and profitability.
It is aimed at organisations that procure FM services within both the private and public sectors. The content of this guide has been drawn from, among other sources, guidance on procurement provided by HM Treasury and the Office of Government Commerce (OGC).

Security Management for Facilities Managers

The objective of this guide is to provide guidance on the day-to-day process of managing security risks and threats within the sphere of corporate facilities management in both the public and private sectors.

Procuring and Running Guarding Contracts

In a society facing increasing risk from both traditional criminality and terrorism, the procurement and management of a security guarding service is a vital decision for any organisation.
