Apprenticeships in facilities management

What are apprenticeships?

Apprenticeships are an excellent way for new †or existing employees to master practical skills in the workplace and gain† a formal qualification whilst working and earning money.

Apprenticeships can improve productivity and profitability,†and are an effective means of filling skills gaps in current and†future workforces.

Apprenticeships typically take between one and four years to complete, depending on the type of apprenticeship. Apprenticeships aim to produce well-rounded, effective employees with up-to-date knowledge as well as technical competence.

Apprenticeships in development

The UK Government's initiative to reinvigorate the Apprenticeship system and place firmly in the hands of employers has seen BIFM working with the employer-led trailblazer group to design the new Facilities Management Apprenticeships.
