If you have chosen to study your qualification at a BIFM Recognised Centre it is important to know what to expect from the centre. You should familiarise yourself with the centre's policies and procedures and know what to expect, in terms of:                          
> learning materials and assessment plans available

> expected timescales for submitting and receiving feedback on assessments

> the level of tutor support available to you - how to contact your tutor
and the expected response time to your enquiries


As well as knowing what to expect from the centre, you will need to take responsibility for your own learning and the assessment process – it will be demanding and requires time and dedication:

> the Learner Handbook contains further guidance and information on the BIFM qualifications.

> BIFM has also produced a short video - BIFM top 10 assessment tips to help you in planning your assessments

> as a suggestion we recommend The Study Skills Handbook by Stella Cottrell – which contains useful information and tips about how to study
