The Membersí Council consists of 22 Institute Members. The make up of the Membersí Council is as follows:

  • Who is elected from one of the current existing Council members

The Chairs of the Regions / SIGs make up the members; but if unavailable can send representatives from their committee to attend
  • Can have up to x1 Deputy Chairman elected from this group

Purpose of the Membersí Council

The Members' Council role and purpose is to help direct, engage with and ensure good communications with and between BIFMís Region and SIGs help form BIFMís research agenda. Its membership comes from the major areas of activity and influence within the Institute.

This Membersí Council represents the stakeholders of the Institute. Members can exercise their influence on the Institute through involvement in the regions, special interest and sector forum groups whose chairs sit on Membersí Council.

Membership Advisory Group

Its purpose is to contribute to the review and formulation of strategy in relation to membership for consideration by the Board.†

This group is made up from elected members on Members Council, and its make-up is as follows:

Co-Opted Members
  • Any individual judged by the elected members to be of appropriate experience or expertis
