03-05-18 9:26 BIFM

BIFM’s UAE Committee has voted in new Chair Janet McAvinnie, as the Committee seeks to increase its presence across the country.

McAvinnie, who succeeded Jason Goddard as Chair following a vote at the Committee’s Annual General Meeting in April, commented; “I am excited to take on the role of Chair during this exciting phase in BIFM’s development within the UAE. I and the Committee look forward to building on the work Jason has led and will seek to provide opportunities to advance the FM profession throughout the region.

“We will build upon BIFM’s established programme of professional development events in the country, continue to rollout the developing education programme and also collaborate with other bodies to drive and share best practice.”

BIFM’s Senior International Manager Neil Everitt said; “I look forward to working with Janet and the Committee to build on the foundations we have established in UAE. The FM sector is developing rapidly in the region, and as the professional body for facilities management we are working hard to support professionals in the sector.
