As FMs from across Europe and the World meet in Sofia this week ahead of their  gathering to discuss and debate the state of the profession, BIFM’s Director of Insight Chris Moriarty, representing the Institute, has been named by EuroFM as the UK Ambassador to its new Global Ambassador programme.

With almost 20 members, representing countries on every continent, the ambassador programme aims to exchange insight, knowledge and best practice throughout the global FM community.

The initiative, which connects leading researchers and representatives of the facilities management profession around the world had its first assembly this week prior to the launch of the 2018 European Facilities Management Conference in the Bulgarian capital.

Chris said “I am thrilled to be representing BIFM as the UK Ambassador for Euro FM at a time of such opportunity for our developing profession.  For organisations to function effectively they must think, be creative, exchange ideas and harness innovation and that’s exactly what I’m looking forward to doing in this Programme - share with others, learn from others and raise the bar for FM everywhere”.
CEO Linda Hausmanis said: “In this fascinating time for the FM profession, I know that for BIFM, Chris will bring the best of BIFM to this work programme and help amplify the voice of the vital work FMs do and their untapped potential. This will not only benefit BIFM’s community but also to help advance FM’s status across Europe.
